To this point in time, information usually comes to me because a spirit wants to communicate to me or to others. I have not been in the habit of asking the higher spirits questions, and then waiting to hear or channel (usually through auto writing) their answers. I do not know why I have not tried this more – I just have thought of myself as the Documentation Department. Never have the higher spirits indicated to me that they would NOT answer questions!
So…I decided to give this a try, and this positing is the result of that activity.
As related to the topic of “Just be good to each other” from the last posting (133), I had noticed: That differentiation amongst the higher spirits appears to be based upon spiritual development only. I have not seen or received any indication of anything else. No money, no things-based wealth or power like in the incarnate dimension, no desire to control others, etc.
What I wanted to know: If we want to grow this direction while living in the incarnate dimension and needing to survive in our bodies – how might they suggest that we do this while in a system that seems to run so opposite of their of their dimension?
The following instruction came to me – not in words but in more visual concepts that I should practice. These words are my translation of what I saw.
- Recognize the power that things have over you or that you give things. It is OK to have things, but learn to recognize the power that they are being given and where that power comes from.
- Practice unhooking (from things that you do not like where the power comes from)
- Look at retention (retention of things) habits.
- Look at time pressures, and the power that time plays over behavior and perceived power.
- Look at desires/impulses to control others. For what reasons are there underlying pressures to do so?
However, the following is literal wording from them: “If they (the things/activities, etc.) are NOT things that become a part of who you are and come along with you when you leave the incarnate body, then those are things that are worthy of considering the power and attention that you give to them in your daily living.”
(Not far off of the old saying: “you can’t take it with you…”)
